Mission

Our clients are in the business of helping people – from environmental services and social justice work to legal services and community organizing. We are an integral component of the work, allowing our clients to achieve their respective missions. This collective partnership forms the basis of NPFM’s mission.

History

NPFM was founded in July 2011 by Matt Dapolito, CPA, and was headquartered in New York City. Since its founding, NPFM has grown to serve dozens of clients across the United States, providing them with access to CFO-level expertise.

The NPFM team has extensive experience in nonprofit management and accounting, data services and entry, exempt organization taxation, and the design of internal and financial reporting controls. NPFM has assisted clients in developing systems to account for and comply with funding source requirements.

This pioneering and cost-effective approach has enabled organizations to leverage their limited accounting department budgets to implement the same sophisticated financial systems utilized by organizations many times their size.

In 2020, NPFM moved to an entirely remote model and has accountants, data service specialists, and managers all over the country.
