José Berrios-Cora

DATA SERVICES SPECIALIST

José Berríos-Cora (he, him, his) is part of the Data Services Specialist team. He is responsible for data entry and bookkeeping for our clients. Prior to NPFM, José worked for four years in tech sales and customer service. He excelled and lead by example as he created the company’s first diversity and inclusion group. Such groups focus on creating and promoting a safe work environment by educating employees on different social justice topics. His technical skills and attention to detail are an asset to our team as he comes from a very demanding biomedical and engineering background. José currently lives in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and is an avid foodie, enjoys video games, CrossFit, and outdoor sports.

 

Xavier Cruz

ACCOUNTANT
Xavier Cruz is an accounting professional with more than ten years of experience supporting organizations across the nonprofit, government, higher education, and private sectors. His background includes fund and grant accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, reconciliations, accounts payable, month-end close, and financial operations. Much of his career has focused on working in environments with multiple funding sources, restricted funds, complex reporting requirements, and strong internal controls. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus.

Outside of work, Xavier enjoys cycling, fitness, spending time with his family, and continuing to expand his professional knowledge and skills.

Connor Leigh

SENIOR ACCOUNTING MANAGER

Connor Leigh is a Senior Accounting Manager at NPFM, and has been with NPFM since November 2020. He obtained a Bachelor’s in Accounting at Central Connecticut State University in 2018 and is currently working on his Master’s Degree in Accounting.

Prior to NPFM, Connor worked at an accounting firm in New Jersey, where he specialized in audits, reviews, compilations, and taxes.

Connor possesses a strong desire to establish healthy and strong relationships with clients and assist them in whatever way possible to meet their financial goals.

Kelvin Mariani-Escalante

IMPLEMENTATION & PAYROLL SPECIALIST

Kelvin Mariani-Escalante is the Implementation and Payroll Specialist at NPFM. His role centers around the onboarding process for new clients, making sure our systems are in place based on the nature of their organization, and processing their payroll. Kelvin has a Master’s in Industrial-Organizational Psychology and is a licensed industrial psychologist in Puerto Rico with experience in test development and evaluation methods. Currently, his passion for knowledge and social justice has made him redirect his efforts towards a career in law. He finds his time between ensuring that NPFM’s clients receive the best onboarding experience and law school, where he plans on focusing on employment law, corporate law, and technology law, while eventually fulfilling his ultimate goal of becoming a Pokemon Master.

Enza Monroe

ACCOUNTANT

Enza Monroe (she/her) is a financial professional with over 14 years of experience specializing in nonprofit accounting. She has held leadership roles including Accounting Manager, Financial Consultant, and Financial Analyst, bringing a well-rounded and practical approach to financial operations.

Her work spans healthcare, community development, and other mission-driven organizations, where she supports teams in achieving their financial and operational goals. Enza is known for her analytical strength, adaptability, and strong command of financial systems, allowing her to navigate complex environments with clarity and precision.

She is committed to helping organizations translate vision into sustainable, actionable results and brings a solutions-oriented mindset to every engagement.

Hailey Moll

DATA SERVICES SPECIALIST

Hailey Moll (she, her, hers) is a member of the Data Services Team, bringing ten years of retail experience to her role. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology, focusing on animal studies and chemistry. Most recently, Hailey served as an Assistant Manager at Rose & Flute, Inc., where she implemented effective inventory management strategies, improved operational efficiency, and mentored staff in customer service.

Passionate about animal and environmental conservation, Hailey actively volunteers for local initiatives to promote social impact in her community. In her free time, she loves spending quality moments with family, friends, and her two cats and two dogs. Her interests include hiking, traveling, visiting Busch Gardens, reading, and interior decorating.

 

Ashley Rodríguez Mercado

DATA SERVICES LEAD

Ashley Rodríguez Mercado (she, her, hers) is part of the Data Services team in Puerto Rico. As a Data Services Specialist her role centers around accounts payable processing and data entry/bookkeeping. After having joined the NPFM team in July 2020, she has assisted in growing the Data Services team and is a proud member of our Party Planning Committee. Ashley is a certified dance instructor and is also currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at the University of Puerto Rico.

 

 

Aaron Soman

ACCOUNTANT

Aaron (he/him) has spent his career in the nonprofit sector, focusing on finance and fund accounting for mission-driven organizations. He has worked in accounting roles across legal services, housing, and human services nonprofits, where he was responsible for day-to-day financial operations as well as larger initiatives like audits, grant reporting, multi-year budgeting, and partnering with leadership on planning. Before joining NPFM, he also supported additional nonprofit clients as an independent consultant. Outside of work, Aaron enjoys longboarding and spending time at the beach.
